Wes Clark (Continued)

My mom read my blog this morning and asked me about Wes Clark, the man.

This is what I wrote to her:

my sense of him is that he's smart and a good guy. he's a duty, honor, country type. sure he's ambitious. and i am sure he's got a big ego. but he seems to be a man on a mission and the mission is to move the country to the center, regain our standing as the good guys in the world, and to get our troops out of harms way. and i am in agreement with all of that.

I was drawn to General Wes as I thought he was our best shot at getting HRH George II out of office. Now that I've gotten to know "the man" and his policies, I take comfort in knowing that I'll actually be voting for someone whom I have a great deal of respect. My #1 priority is getting Georgie out of office, and Clark is our man!

You've summarized so well why I've decided to support Wes Clark. His straight talking, no nonsense, very grounded approach to some very complex, politicized issues captured my attention early on. And his history can certainly counter any nonsense from the Bush camp about a lack of patriotism.
