Ben Kweller and Death Cab For Cutie
We saw a great show at Howlin' Wolf last night. Ben Kweller opened for Death Cab For Cutie. Both were fantastic. We bought Ben's Sha Sha disc when it came out in 2002 and liked it. After last night, we'll have to go out and get his new disck, On My Way.
But the highlight of the evening was Death Cab for Cutie. These guys are great. We have The Postal Service disc that i blogged about a couple months ago which features the lead singer from Death Cab. We are going to have to get everything they've put out. They are really that good.

Hi Fred,
one of the guys from The Postal Service records also as DNTEL, making minimal, challenging, fractured and beautiful electronica.
I suggest you to buy Life is full of possibilities" (amazon link: http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/B00005QHR8/qid=1082828274/sr=1-1/ref=sr_1_1/002-3280560-7333638?v=glance&s=music)... in my opinion, is a masterpiece of the genre, and it shows a lot of musical maturity (I'm a music journalist and DJ in my spare time, so I'm afraid I can't refrain from using terms like "musical maturity" when talking about a record). :)
Enjoy the festival!

Listening to Ben Kweller right now. You need to get Rapsody. Julia reads both of your blogs, she told me that when ever you guys talk about new music, she find it on Rhapsody.
