iPod Crashed

ipodMy iPod crashed.

The battery's dead and the damn thing won't take a charge.

So it's going back to Apple for a repair.

It's mixed emotions. I can't live without my iPod, its that good. But I'm pissed at Apple too that they made a bad one and sold it to me.

it happened to me as well. have you tried searching on things like ipodlounge.com. for the ipod mini, which my pc didn't see after it was complete decharged, there was a helpful trick about pressing play and menu at the same time. (however, this will reset the normal ipod, careful!)
can't believe that you have to send it in because you listened to it until it was dead. that shouldn't happen, apple!

yeah - same with me, my wife's iPod Mini crashed the day I got it when I unplugged an iTrip too fast. I thought it was toast, but the hard reset thing Max describes brought it back to life - no problemo....

The question is, are you truly surprised?

But your iTunes library is still cool, right? More proof of the platform, not the device, having the greater potential for Apple.

apparently the new gen 4's are flawed with problems as well ...

Oh no ...

You should watch this video. It explains that this used to happen with *every* Ipod.
