Teresa Heinz Kerry

HPIM0005

Teresa Heinz Kerry followed Carly Fiorina on the agenda here at Brainstorm and continued the trend of impressive women with something to say.

I had never seen Teresa speak before. She's calm, serious, and very thoughtful and well spoken. She makes a great impression. She will be a major asset for Kerry/Edwards. And if Kerry gets elected, we'll have a first lady who is a woman of the world. She was born in Mozambique, she's fluent in five languages, she runs a major foundation that is a force for innovation and social progress.

You stated you did not say "unamerican"
, it was obiviuos you did.
Then you stated to a reporter to : shove it" !! We don't need a filthy mouthed woman in the White House as a first lady. I will now vote for Bush who has a decient lady.

I believe that it is ridiculous that someone would actually swing their vote based on the comments of a spouse of a presidential candidate. And come on... GW's own vice president dropped the F-bomb. Personally, if I were the type of person that got offended by that kind of thing, I would be a little more concerned about the No. 2 and his "filthy mouth" rather than a spouse whom is not requesting permission to be our commander in chief. I believe that this election is a hell of a lot more important than that! The idea of someone being so cavalier regarding the upcoming election bedazzles me. This is one of the most important elections in recent times. Vote responsibly!

Dear Teresa,

Regarding "shove it"

You go girl.

A fan in Oregon

Dear Teresa,

Keep on being yourself....It's wonderful and refreshing. I'm a 51 year female college professor and I fought all my life to have a woman like you represent the women of America. Keep on telling those jerks to "shove it." Keep on being yourself. Your honesty says a lot about the honesty of the man you married. My vote doesn't mean much here in Kansas...but I am a displaced Ohioan. Let's hope Ohio goes your way.

Stand tall and continue to be yourself....let women scross Amercia know that being yourself is a good thing. When you become the first lady...please make battered women a cause. I have seen too many women not believe in themselves. You could make a difference.

While John Kerry was in Vietnam saving others lives (even though he himself was wounded - for which he ended up receiving metals) George Bush was busy amassing plastic toys from the dentist for his bravery.

Regarding your run in with the reporter, the coment I like best so far is "For shame. Teresa Kerry did a Dick Cheney."

You are going to make a dynamite First Lady.

Cindy

I absolutely love Theresa!!!! She is enchanting. There is a new Democratic Party emerging with a heart and a soul.....This is a unique opportunity to elect a president that will unite the American people....and unite us with the world as we should be. Underneath I can see true love of Man.
God Bless America!

Dear Ms. Heinz

During the current administration under President George W. Bush a business that my cuban born father spent his life building is near destruction. The business is the manufacturing of heavy equipment that adds value to steel. Once upon of time our business was very successful as we sale both domestically and internationally. Now if we sale an international contract we no longer can offer the financing to our foriegn buyers through export import bank. Steel tariffs and special interests group like the steel lobbyist have destroyed that chance. I am going to change my ticket and vote for John Kerry but I hope that you consider what I have written and listen to what the last American manufacturer has been attempting to tell George Bush our message which has fallen to deaf ears. You said in your speech that Change is possible. I believe you. Like you my father lived in dictatorship he moved to America for a better life. He is an engineer now I have his business but I am afraid unless the government begins to understand the needs of small business that I will lose it. I have been in manufacturing since I graduated from University in 1988. To start over is not something I want to do or should have to do. Ignore and lack of understanding of our industry has put trade barriers on our business that need to be removed at once. Pleas visit our website www.dbimfg.com

John Kerry says things need to be inorder here at home in America I believe he is right but when?

I will support the democratic party but I hope I am not forgotten after the election.

Teresa,
Why don'y you call me anymore? Has John found out about us?

(I'm still at the same number)

Teresa:

You have shown all America what a real thinking, caring, and loving woman is all about. I only hope you will use some of your vast resources to help the cause of all gays. It is important that you step to the forefront and fight vigorously for our rights and will help stamp out prejudice. I am stuck in the deep south where such things a tolerance are bad words. But you need to know that we are with you every step of the way. From one girl to another. Go Girl. Ray from Montgomery

Keep on a trucking little lady. You are the bomb. My wife and I have Kerry/Edwards plastered all over our cars and the door to my office. This is the time to save our failing economy and nation. We must fight together to end the domination of these Repubs and prevent the loss of our Supreme Court to their Judicial activist ways. I for one will be there to the end. Just call if I can help. I am ready to right. Casper

I loved your comment of "shove it". You had the
courage to actually do what so many of us have
often thought of saying to obnoxious reporters and
the sensationalism reporting of the media. Quite
frankly you were very refresing.

Battling the discrimination of the sexes for 55
years is finally paying off for me to hear you
speak without fear. Keep saying it the way it is.

You have my vote and the one after for a female
president!!!!!

You have certainly caught my attention--Nita

Please, Please.....if your husband is elected for President or even if he is not...Please do eveything in your power to help babies, young children and battered women. There is a serious problem of neglected children or children in bad homes!!!! We need your HELP...PLEASE!

I feel like you could make a BIG differance!

Yes, Teresa, you can make a difference, and you are making one now! I admire and revere you for your commitment to your husband, your sons (and, I hope,to your stepdaughters as well), and to those in need who do not have the advantage of a podium. As you so succintly said, if your husband is elected, you will keep him honest and humble. This is not an easy task for a the wife of a President, but I believe it is a task you can handle and handle well. Cheers from me and my friends in Phoenix, Arizona.

Ms. Heinz-Kerry apparently does not realize that she is the common man. Refer to her comment about the common man not thinking she is a B----. Money does not make a lady or assure breeding. She should use some of it for lessons on how to behave in public. Kerry and Heinz-Kerry deserve each other. They need to turn in the speaking for a wind surf board.

Yes, laugh at me now you ignorant peasants. When John & I have the white house, we will show you where you belong. You fools. Someday you will bow before me and despair. You ridicule our tax payment of 0.983% on $80M/yr while we want a family earning over $100,000 to pay 30%. You think we will pay our fair share of taxes on my $3.2 billion in assets? You stupid middle class American riff-raff. Insects!!! Ants!!!John & I know what is best for you. Oh how we long for the civilized, cosmopolitan European culture where royality is treated with the respect it deserves. You will get yours, soon. And I'll get you, my pretty. And that little dog of yours too!! hahahahaha

stupid mexican for ya.

hey jewban with the steel company. why don't you tell them what a mean person you know you are. I worked with the lady that is moaning about her steel business that went south. well guess what? bad things happen to BAD people such as yourself. you treated and im sure still do treat your employess like dirt. She is a manic woman, insane and I hope that nothing works out for you and your dirty father.

Dearest Teresa!
Espero que tudo corra do melhor para si e o seu esposo. Que seija o proximo presidente dos Estados Unidos, e que facam um mundo melhor para todos nos. Obrigado!
M.Neto

Dear Mrs. Heinz-Kerry, I cannot tell you in what high esteem I hold both you and your husband. I will be working in the Kerry-Edwards office here in Cincinnati on November 1st and driving a van taking people to the polls on election day. Your husband, with your support, is the only hope for this failing and lost nation. It is hard to believe that the moron in the White House has drug this country into such a terrible morass and destroyed Iraq as well. I know that you and your husband, along with Senator Edwards and his wife can reunite this country, and us with the world. With love and every good wish, Phillip

Good LUCK future First LAdy

Dear Future First Lady Heinz-Kerry -
As you no doubt know ... Nelson Mandella recently said "What the world needs is another Winston Churchill". How right that lovable wise old man is! And, my gut feel is that your husband -- Senator John Kerry -- could be that revived Winston Churchill.
My words are not idly made. I was born in America to British parents, and was attending Pre-RAF college in Bournemourh on the English Channel and -- during the 1940's Battle-of-Britain, over 1,000 Nazi bombers passed overhead en route to bomb London. a handful of RAF fightera would attack them. Sir Churchill said "Never in the field of human conflict has so much been owed to so few."(I flew aboard British flying boats untill 1944, then sailed as a radio officer on American ships right thru Korean War).
Besr Wijhes for success

women like Teresa Heinz-Kerry, is simply to strong for the American Society, so therefore women like her, is often miss-understood. I consider myself a very strong woman, who believes in stnading up for what I believe in and by doing such, I am often mistaken for something other that what I am. Women are no longer taking the back seat to their husbands, in todays society we are right there in the drivers seat. Teresa keep on doing what you do and good luck and may God continue to bless you and your family.

Sincerely,

B.G. Hill

I think that Teresa Heinz Kerry exudes a sense of confidence that helps all women all over the country to stand up for themselves. She may be saying her mind when she feels like it, but that is what makes a strong person. If the American people cannot handle that then they cannot handle any incoming first ladies.
