Charting Bush (Continued)
So I've been using my election dashboard to monitor the post republican convention dynamic.
The Approval Ratings and Futures Markets show big moves for Bush post-convention. The futures market in particular is very troubling for Kerry.
But the Electoral College is still looking very good for Kerry. I don't totally understand this and am going to drill down. It appears to me that Kerry's hanging in there in places like Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, and New Mexico that didn't look good for him during the convention last week. Bottom line, the electoral college is still in a lot of flux.
And so I've added a new feature to the blog. I copied this from Tom Watson. Now you'll be able to follow the electoral college every time you visit my blog by looking down the left hand column, just below the Google search bar.

You might want to have a look at some o the other EC sites. The one you're using is glaringly partisan, and has a tendency to cherry-pick polls. Or at least link in electionprojection.com, which has the opposite partisan slant.

Just a quick point: that count may or may not be accurate. As a counter to that site: http://www.electionprojection.com/elections2004.html
Has Bush ahead by a bit - again, I'm not profession to be for or against either Kerry or Bush - but seems to me that the data is open for interpretation.

Ahem, it's on the LEFT hand side. Yes, I went clicking all over trying to find it on the right side ;-)

I googled 'electoral college projection", selected the first hit (http://www.rasmussenreports.com/Electoral%20College%20Projection.htm), and found the following EC projection:
Bush - 213
Kerry - 175
Toss-up - 150

I like the LA Times app. Its not something you can pull from because it doesn't call states where the polling is still w/in the margin of error, but it's a great site. Mouseover states to get the latest poll results, very up to date, and not all from a single source.

btw, Fred, you should think about enabling html for your comments so these links will be live.

C'mon, you don't actually expect a Leftist like Fred to have any integrity and show a truthful electoral count, do ya? They will do everything in their power to obfuscate the truth and regain power.
