MP3 of the Week
My newest discovery, The Kings of Convenience, have a great sound. As I said in a previous post, they sound like a mix between Simon and Garfunkel and Belle and Sebastian.
Their most recent record is called Riot On An Empty Street and my favorite song on the album is Misread.
So it's my MP3 of the Week.
Been reading your blog for a few months, and you've turned me on to some great sounds. I'm headed to NYC for a 2-month project, and will be picking this one up tonight to take along.

I bought the Kings of Convenience "album" on iTunes a few days ago from the Netherlands iTunes site. I could have bought it from the US site but in the world of music, nationality does not matter. The world is balkanized and you have to buy the music where your credit card billing statement is mailed to. Anyway, major glitch: I paid my money, downloaded the songs from iTunes but the program refused to authorize me. Never mind that my iTunes account is the same as my .Mac account which I have been using for a couple of years.
The iTunes DRM system is really screwed up. I emailed Apple support and they escalated it, and within a few days after I bought the album online, I was able to listen to it. What a hassle! I am now very leery of buying music online especially when it is DRM'd.
