MP3 of the Week
I heard a great song on one of my new favorite podcasts this morning.
The podcast is called The Tragically Nameless Podcast and its put together by a teenager living in the midwest somewhere. He plays good indie rock music and has some good laughts along the way.
He played a song by a band out of Austin Texas called Cruiserweight. The song is called Goodbye Daily Sadness and its my MP3 of the Week.

Wow. You're personally responsible for fifteen out of the past hundred hits on my site. Pat yourself on the back.
Good times!

Cruiserweight has been making a name for themselves here in Austin for a couple of years now. The fact that you're hearing them in NYC is an indicator that Podcasting could seriously impact the music industry.
Even if it doesn't crack the hold that Clear Channel and Viacom have on the (our) airwaves, its emergence is timed perfectly to feed the playlists of satellite radio. And podcasting may even stand on its own, fed by the blog explosion.
