Tom Evslin has a MUST READ list of expressions that programmers say and what they really mean.
If you manage programmers or rely on them in any way, you have to read this.
And besides being completely true, it is hysterically funny.

I agree. This is a must read not just for CEOs, but for anyone dealing with software development projects. Part 1 is a little tongue-in-cheek, but Part 2 (posted today) is really on the mark about ways to make "done" mean done.
I've worked with software development teams for many years from several perspectives, and Tom's comments ring true from all of them.
