Assholes
Yes, there are assholes in this world.
One of them posted this comment on my blog this morning.
Knock Knock - Who's There?
Oh, it's just an extremely LUCKY cocky VC. You think you're such hot sht - but guess what? You're not. That punk kid of yours looks....well, whatever. Just keep kicking back with your arms around your head. Yeah, that's it. A little farther...good.
Gotham girl, my ass.
I am not going to delete this comment. I am going to post it so more people can see what an asshole you are.
If you don't like me or my blog, don't read it. But ragging on me, my wife, and my son isn't cool.

Wow. You are right about the asshole part. It sure is annoying to have to deal with that kind of bunk. I for one think your family looks quite alright and enjoy the dialogue. Keep up the quality postings!

Seriously. What a fargin' icehole. If you're unhappy with your life, buddy-boy, get your arse up and out from in front of the the Centrino-powered laptop you stole when they laid you off at Dotcom v.1 back in 2001 and change it... Don't try to manufacture some smug satisfaction by broadcasting your jealous insecurities all over the blogosphere... WTF?

As Dr. Schwarz in MOTB puts it... If you attract detractors you know you're doing something right! Feel sorry for them, for they are psychologically sick.

We have a word for people like that in england, starts with W and ends in ANKER...

"Shallow men believe in luck. Strong men believe in cause and effect." - R.W. Emerson
Thomas Edison said something similar about opportunity but I think it applies equally to luck:
"Opportunity (and luck) is missed by most people because it is dressed in overalls and looks like work." - T.A. Edison
Let's all get back to getting lucky.

So, in your AdSense section today I see for the first time a "branded content" ad for the Dodge Charger. Not particularly relevant but it's a first for me - a large, image-based ad. Have you been noticing these recently? And keep up the great work - don't let idiots like this guy get you down.

Comes with the territory, I guess. Just imagine if you discussed politics here...

I give you a lot of credit for not only keeping it, but blogging about it. Trivial minds make trivial comments. Kudos to you for holding them up for what they are.

that's the longest unfunny knock knock joke i've ever heard.

I enjoy your posts. Being an older woman I have always been more wary of the public. I have asked my son to remove the pictures of the grandchildren from his blog. He is pondering his policy at this time but feels I am being overly cautious. Knowing that there are so many crazy and jealous people in the world, you have to be careful.
I enjoy reading your wife's blog very much. As a matter of fact I just purchased Little Children by Perrotta, the book she is presently reading for her book club.

Is this a business owner who pitched his 8 second abs in hope of some venture financing?
Perhaps your firm denied him backing since he forgot to use "traction" in his pitch? lol
What a jerk that guy is..

Best Knock Knock joke ever...
"Knock Knock"
"Who's There?"
"Go F*&* Yourself"
Tom Hanks in the movie Catch Me If You Can.

Kudos for posting on this...leave them no room to hide.
Unfortunately, this is one of the new realities of this new way of blogging life...the boundaries between personal and professional parts of people's lives are increasingly elusive.

Reminded me of an earlier post on your blog:

Would "z" be appropriate in this case?

This guy is obviously a prick, but, to agree with an earlier post, this really does come with the territory. I can't understand as a father of young kids why you would post pictures of your children on the site, especially a young girl. There are a lot of sick people out there; this is not a scare tactic, but an unfortunate reality.

Hey - whenever you are pissing someone off, there's a really good chance you are doing something right. ;-)

Ellen is right....best to leave your family out of sight. Too many kooks in the world.
BTW -- great blog.

Yes, there are assholes in the world. I'm one of them. Please don't lump me into the "jackass" or "complete moron" category that this guy seems to belong to. Assholes are generally smarter than that ;)
Anyhow, you have a great blog and I've been subscribed for awhile now, so just let it roll of your back like a duck.

I agree maestro with the rest...keep your family pics off the blog. Sometimes it doesnt pay to be nice and friendly. On my site, I use a password to login to see personal stuff. I only give it out to family, friends, and kiss ups.
Well at least keep your wife photos up coz I'm falling in love with her.
