Pining For Jazzfest

The Gotham Gal and I are normally in New Orleans for Jazzfest at this time of year but Passover and other things have gotten in the way this year and we'll be missing it for the first time in five years.

I am listening to a great Rhapsody Jazzfest playlist. No po boys and beer. No sweat and sun. No New Orleans. But its the best I can do this year.

Fred, I don't doubt your intelligence or incredible work ethic, but leading the blind into an irrational technological bliss for various reasons (see: http://www.gawker.com/news/media/internet/nyc-vcs-get-their-mojo-back-040203.php) and then posting how you're (or your?) able to travel anywhere, anytime because of it is just wrong. Keep the personal stuff personal. Don't use it to justify your opinion on this site.

I feel your pain. I've missed the last two JazzFests due to the birth of our little boy back in 2003. We're thinking he should be ready to funk it up down NOLA way in 2006!

BTW, telling people what they can and cannot write about on their blogs is just so utterly pointless.

And pointing out typos is even more pointless.

Passover vs. Jazzfest got us this year, too. Next year in New Orleans is what we said at the end of the seder.
