MP3 of the Week
Readers of this blog know of my current obsession with Bloc Party who, with Silent Alarm, have put out the best record of 2005 so far.
I came across a new Bloc Party song called Two More Years which aired on Steve Lemacq's Radio 1 show on the BBC last monday. From what I can gather, Two More Years is going to be the first single off of the next record which is due out later this year.
It's always great when young bands can follow up great debut records with more great music.
So I am making Two More Years by Bloc Party my MP3 of the Week.

interesting. do you have permission to advertise their music in this way? would you argue fair use? i am all for open music but this track is surely copyrighted?
or do you just think the law is an ass so forget it. just interesting that a VC would choose to do distribute music in this fashion.

This song is amazing - yes arguably different from their earlier stuff and their album but the progression works and this song truely rules.
As for the above, i am a huge Bloc Party fan but...not everyone can afford to buy EVERYTHING, whilst i don't condone stealing, they're making so much money anyway....its not like the song is being widely advertised as free or 'forcibly' distributed.
