The Forum
We did ancient Rome yesterday.
The kids liked the Colosseum best.
But I was enchanted by the Forum.
How many great buildings and their architects have been influenced by what was built there?

The answer to your question is: None.
While ancient styles have been taught in architecture schools for ages, it is not really architecture as we now know it. For the time, given the technology, these buildings were good. But for current architecture, they are irrelevant. So, no great architects were influenced by them-- only hacks with no original ideas, and collectivists who don't believe in individual greatness.
Greatness comes from applying modern technology, new ideas and new techniques to solve real problems. It is not stuck looking at the past.
This is an important distinction that is often lost in modern society as collectivism become further entrenched in our culture. (Which is also the answer to why almost every VC wants part of a online video deal after YouTube.)

Was there in 02 with my 2.5 year old -- we walked up to the structure she turned to me and said -- Daddy, baseball! Wrigley Field!
For some reason was so proud
