Startupping

I am not sure which link I followed to find Startupping, a new online resource for the world of entrepreneurship and startups, but I like it.

And for the entrepreneurs that need some fresh ideas, feel free to check out my recent blog Techquila Shots. It's there to spur some thoughts.

I also found startupping today and think it's a great resource. I've already started adding some of the content to the sources at duzzio.com

Duzzio was created because I keep finding myself remembering something I read about a topic or company and can't really remember who said it... and did I save it? where? what where the tags? This just started as an experiment for personal use but it's turning into a good tool for us and apparently others. It can help put things into a larger context when you can compare what different minds thought about a certain topic. We plan to keep adding sources and features to it and see where it takes us. Give it a try if you have a chance and let us know what you think.

Fred - we need more of this type of thing, especially for early stage entrepreneurs, who often get left out of the mix in softer markets (i.e. outside of CA and MA).

This is one of the reasons we recently launched our efforts at StartupLounge.com.

Cheers.

I just hope that it doesn't become a ratio that I have noticed across the board on these types of sites. A lot of start ups/ not a lot of investors.

I am not looking for advice on how to write a business plan or develop my product. We need to get in some doors and our lack of "networking" with investor types is what is hurting us. I need to know how to find and build the relationships without annoying some one before I even get to pitch.

Thanks for the info everyone. Fred, hope your journey back from Colorado went better than getting out there. Glad you had fun - I had fun seeing the pictures you took.

We also discovered it when one of our members did a short review of them

It seems they offer something of value, because in our community they already made it to our home page.

Kind of a terrible name, though? Look up "tupping" in the dictionary.

There will always be star-tuppers, I guess.

The thing that's impressed me about Startupping is the amount of BUZZ! Seriously! Our site is in a related field but about bringing entrepreneurs together with advisors, angels and VCs but we haven't had anything near the same buzz factor. Is it Mark's involvement or something else? I'm stumped!
