How To Video
Not all user generated content is kids crashing on skateboards. I am particularly interested in everyday people creating videos to show others how to do things. I've been pushing my girls and The Gotham Gal to do a cooking show, for example.
My friend John Mahoney has started a "how to" show about RSS and the production quality is really good for a solo project from someone who has a day job. Here's the inaugural show.

Almost easy enough for me to finally try. stretch it out 30 minutes and he could submit it to podtech :)

nice and clear, well presented - will share this with a number of people i am in dialogue with re: RSS and why they should be using it.
plus, i really like the brightcove embedded video app - i wasn't aware of it before. it's the best i have encountered.

Thanks for this, been looking for something like it for awhile.
Also, on the music selection. Great job. I saw the shin's live last (last?) new years eve (2005/2006) and they blew my mind, I only regret that they hadn't released wincing yet.
You should check out the klaxon's or get re in love with the strokes (That's right, lets face it, everybody has loved them at some stage.)

That's a pretty impressive production. I love Brightcove.
A "This Old House" online how-to show would be money.

I love these how-to videos. I also think that there is great potential for posting these types of videos inside the firewall for training purposes, new hire orientation, etc.

Great video! (Brightcove does have a really nice player, too)
A buddy of mine who works at Google says that GooTube is pushing howto vids hardcore. They are trying to round up some major advertising dollars to throw at the "how to" space.
It makes sense, too. Watch a video on "How to Grill the Perfect Steak" -- well of course you might be inclined to check out related ads if you are pumped up about grilling and don't have the proper tools.
I'm helping my girlfriend launch a how-to site that'll feature embedded vids & original content. Coming soon at veehow.com! (powered by "mongoose" video site webapp software)

associatedcontent.com is a great resource for UGC video. I've learn a lot of stuff about using photoshop and cooking.

this is great, but can someone tell me the best way to uplaod a very large video file to a web based location for free, and I can share it with others. You Tube doesn't handle the upload very well.
Thanks
