It's all starting to come together, but it's not quite there yet.

I go out in the world, take a picture of something i see, email it to flickr, twitter the news, and eventually i'll geotag it and maybe even blog it.

What I'd really like is for all of that to happen in one text message from my phone.

Depending on your phone and choice of services you can do this now...

I can GeoTag an image with comment as it uploads to Flickr from my N95 and then that feeds into my lifestream on Jaiku.

I'm not a big Wired fan, but it's worth reading Bruce Stirling's "Dispatches from a Hyper Local future" in this month's issue. It describes what you want, and probably what you really really want. But it's post-dated 2017 :(

This can totally be done, just takes a bit of time and a little bit of money for a developer. Would people pay for it?

The Nokia N95 has GPS/3G/Wifi; Shozu has a mobile app that will geotag your picture before uploading to Flickr via Shozu.

As an entrepreneur leading a new startup, I always hope to be able to wow people the way I was just wowed checking out the photosynth demo. It is simply and absolutely amazing and the implications are huge. The bar just got raised in a big way. It is 3:33am up in Ottawa and the implications are keeping me awake.

Keep an eye on SnapFoo.com

This is currently possible with Yappd. It allows you to microblog what you're doing and a picture message straight from your cell phone via picture message or e-mail. We just released our API and will be integrated into Moodblast soon.
