Where I Bought My Unlocked Curve

22258_b_2 Now that I've been asked five times in email, I figured it might be best to just blog this.

Here's where I bought my unlocked Curve.

I opened the box, put my tmobile SIM card in, and it worked.

Now I just have to figure how to get affiliate payments from this store so I can send them to good causes.

I have phone envy every time I turn around these days!

I think I may have to take the jump and get a curve.

I bought my Curve directly from AT&T. It was locked but I bought the unlocked code from these guys for $20. based on the handset's IMEI worked fine for me.

Fred, I also bought the juicer, so you should have had an affiliate deal there also.

Caveat emptor to the readers: this worked in this case for Fred, it may not work for you.

Be wary especially if trying this with an iPhone: there are many online offers right now for "unlocked iphones" and my experience gives a guarantee that most if not all are scams, or at least technically-impossible promises.

Indeed, Fred previously blogged about an unlocked phone where the sim-swap trick did NOT work well. http://avc.blogs.com/a_vc/2006/02/imate_kjam.html

So that's my unendorsed disclaimer to this post !

P.S.: could anyone tell that my prior post was merely a thinly-veiled attempt to drive traffic to my name by associating it to the phrase "unlocked iphone", a top-5 Google search as of today?

To Ken Berger:
Yes we could, and don't bother, no one will listen. If you are truly a fund raiser, that's good. So am I, but do it ethicaly, do it with conviction, and a belief in the client, or don't do it at all.
