Yay - for once I'm ahead of you, Fred - have been listening to Camera Obscura for a couple of months (I know - why didn't I tell you ...) - eMusic has their new "keep it Clean" EP (is there a new term for that?) which is also nice. Have you checked out The Clientele? http://www.emusic.com/artist/The-Clientele-MP3-Download/11590061.html
They're another Scottish band with a very 60s sound

We've been diehard Cam fans since seeing them last February in a small club. They're my wife's new all time favorite.
I'm not sure about the comparison to B&S, though. Maybe a bit to The Life Pursuit (which is B&S's best album BY FAR imho) but clearly Cam has one of the most unique, lush, amazing sounds out there right now. It was a real treat seeing them live and I highly recommend it next time they're in the States.
